Position:  Public Health Scientist
Department: City of Sioux Falls Health Department-Public Health Laboratory
Rate: $18.41 per hour depending upon qualifications. 
Schedule: 8-16 hours per week

The City of Sioux Falls Health Department Laboratory is seeking a temporary Public Health Scientist. Position will be weekdays, weekends and some evening hours, 8-16 hours per week. Duties include: phlebotomy/specimen collection, routine lab test performance including microbiology, preventative maintenance, inventory control, and data input.

Qualified applicants should hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in laboratory science, chemistry, biology or microbiology, and have experience in clinical laboratory science, computer knowledge with EMR experience being a plus, possess excellent customer service and communication skills, and a professional attitude.
