On Thursday, December 15, 2011, at 11:15 a.m., Public Works and Parks and Recreation invite you to meet at Spencer Park just off of Cliff Avenue and I-229. We will discuss the reopening of the Dog Park and the progress made on the Sioux River South Construction Project.
The East Run of the Spencer Dog Park is open. This run of the dog park had been closed for the installation of a new sanitary sewer pipe.
In early spring, restoration of the turf and irrigation lines will commence. Restoration work to the Bike Trail on the east side of Cliff Avenue is scheduled for completion in May of 2012.
The Sioux River South Sewer Phase 1A project is part of a massive effort to invest in our infrastructure. This project represents a $4.8 million investment into rehabilitating a large-diameter trunk sewer.
Mayor Mike Huether, Public Works Director Mark Cotter, and Parks and Recreation Director Don Kearney plan to attend this meet.
Public Works wants to thank you for your continued support of our team and your patience with the construction projects. We hope you enjoy a good game of fetch with your loyal friends!
