On December 17, 2011, at 3:46 a.m., an officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of 21st Street and Menlo Avenue. The driver fled from the officer in his vehicle. The pursuit continued to the area of 41st and Kiwanis Avenue where it was terminated.

The officers located a female at 4508 South Tennis Lane that had exited and was running from the vehicle in question. She was identified as Nicole Gerry, a Sioux Falls resident. She was eventually arrested and lodged at the Minnehaha County Jail for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation led officers to Johnson’s Trailer Park on south Western Avenue. While at this location, the suspect vehicle pulled in, resulting in another short pursuit. The driver parked the car and fled on foot, but officers were able to apprehend and arrest him. He was identified as Bason Jarvis, also a resident of Sioux Falls. He was lodged at Minnehaha County Jail for aggravated eluding, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, fleeing police, driving revoked, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

No injuries or damage were reported due to the vehicle pursuit.
