On Thursday, December 22, 2011, Sioux Falls Police conducted a compliance check of 23 off-sale alcohol establishments. Of the 23 establishments, 1 business failed and sold to a person under the age of 21.

The clerk who sold to a minor was issued a citation for furnishing alcohol to a person 18 to 20 years old (SDCL 35-9-1.1) with a mandatory court appearance required.

The establishment where the alcohol was purchased was Love’s Travel Stop, 5301 North Cliff Avenue.
