Today, December 23, 2011, just after 12 noon, an officer of the Sioux Falls Police Department, while on an unrelated call, noticed an adult female carrying a puppy in the 5700 block of West Bluebird Place. The officer noted the puppy’s physical appearance and recalled that a puppy of the same description had been recently reported missing from the Sioux Falls Humane Society. The officer contacted the female, and further investigation, with the assistance of Animal Control personnel, confirmed the identity of the missing puppy.

The puppy was found to be in good health and returned to the Humane Society by Animal Control. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is continuing.
