On December 24, 2011, at approximately 3 a.m., Metro Communications received a report of vehicles possibly being vandalized in the 3000 block of South Mayfair Avenue.

During investigation, officers located a male on the third floor of an apartment building holding a gun. A subsequent search revealed marijuana and paraphernalia also present. Two occupants of the suspect apartment were arrested:

• Mallett, Maurice, BM, 8-2-63 (aggravated assault, possession marijuana, etc.)
• Sachtjen, Kristin, WF, 8-11-87 (possession marijuana)
