On February 4, 2012, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to smoke coming from the residence at 1604 East 25th Street.
First-arriving crews saw smoke coming from the roof vents of the home. Crews entered the house and found a small fire in the kitchen. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in approximately ten minutes.
The residents were out of the home prior to Sioux Falls Fire Rescue arriving on scene.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 1 support vehicle, 3 fire trucks, and 12 Firefighters. There were no civilian or Firefighter injuries. The house did not have a residential sprinkler system. The cause is under investigation.
