The Sioux Falls Police Department’s Animal Control Division would like the public’s help in locating a dog in reference to a dog bite. On February 7, 2012, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., a 36-year-old female was bitten by an unknown dog while walking in the area of 12th Street and Cleveland Avenue.

According to the victim, she noticed a stray dog described as a pit bull-type breed, brindle in color with a blue collar, running loose. The victim approached the dog to see if it had tags and it bit her on the hand causing a minor injury that broke the skin.
