Minger Construction, the contractor replacing a large diameter sewer pipe in the area of Tuthill and Spencer Parks, will finish pipe installation this week. After Friday, January 6, 2012, the contractor will complete minor cleanup and demobilize for the winter until site restoration work can begin in the spring.

Normally, a sanitary sewer system is sealed and odors cannot escape; however, during a large sewer construction project, there are locations where an unmistakable rotten egg odor can escape during the installation and sewer bypass process. The completed system will be sealed and the odors contained.
