The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the public’s help finding those responsible for the thefts of an ATM machine, skid loader, and a dump truck. The ATM theft occurred just before 7 a.m. on Sunday January 1, 2012, at The First National Bank, located at 1901 East Benson Road in Sioux Falls. A skid loader, stolen from First Rate Excavating, was used to break the large drive up ATM from it’s base and haul it a short distance away where it is believed it was loaded into a stolen dump truck. The exterior shell of the ATM and the skid loader were recovered at that scene. The ATM itself and the dump truck, a yellow 1994 Ford LT8000 with South Dakota license 19909C, are still missing. Loss for the ATM, not including the cash, is estimated at $45,000.
