Subdivision Ordinance Updates
The City of Sioux Falls’ existing subdivision ordinance was adopted on Nov. 3, 1980, April 5, 1993, and again on Feb. 2, 1998. After two and a half years of review and analysis by staff and an advisory board – Infrastructure Review Advisory Board – the ordinance was recommended for approval on May 21, 2008. It then was heard at a public hearing at Planning Commission on June 4, 2008. The ordinance was adopted by the City Council on July 7, 2008.
