Block Parties are a great way for residents to come together and build strong neighborhoods through an entertaining atmosphere. The City of Sioux Falls encourages block parties as a way to foster neighborhood cohesion and strengthen our community.

A street closure permit is required for the block parties occurring on a city street. The street closure permit fee is waived for block parties.

If music or other entertainment will exceed the noise decibel limits set by city ordinance, an excessive noise permit will allow temporary relief from the noise regulations. The excessive noise permit fee is also waived for block parties.
