Your City Government The City is governed by the Mayor and City Council. Mayor Huether wants to provide the best possible service to Sioux Falls residents. When you use our contact forms, your inquiry or request will be routed to the appropriate department. You are also welcome to contact the members of the City Council as well. - Mayor's Office: The office of our Mayor: Mike Huether.

Submitting a Service Request or Comment to the City The City appreciates reports of hazards, public health, and public nuisances from citizens so that it may investigate and take action quickly. The key to having service requests handled properly is to make sure you report the concern to the proper departments to avoid delays. Please take the time to use the correct form based on the type of service request or comment you wish to submit. - Call Us: List of common numbers for submitting service requests or comments.
- Building or Zoning Code Enforcement Violations: Including - Parking on Grass, Licensed and Operable Vehicles/Trailers, Building and Land Use, Dilapidated Housing Conditions, Property Signs, Grass/Weeds Exceeding 8", Lawn Neglect.
- Grass/Weeds Exceeding 8 Inches:
- Health Code Nuisances: Including - Excessive Noise, Trash/Garbage/Junk, Inoperable Cars/Trailers, Yard and Animal Waste.
- Report Improper Lawn Watering: Report improper watering, watering on wrong days, or watering being done between noon and 5 p.m.
- Public Works: Including - Hazardous Waste Disposal, Waste Removal Companies, Street/Sidewalk Hazards, Street/Traffic Lights Out, Drainage Issues.
